With over 8 years experience with Weddings, Formals, Fashion Runways, Photoshoots, and Special Occasions, Hair and Makeup Artistry is my absolute passion.

We have come a long way since starting Beauty Artistry With Em back in 2017. My story began with a natural love of art and fashion, undertaking a Diploma of Screen and Media (Specialist Makeup Services) in Brisbane, Queensland.
I feel to privileged being able to utilise my passion to make people look good, but most of all, feel absolutely confident!
So why did I become a Hair and Makeup Artist?
As a kid I loved painting , sketching, drawing, singing, dancing, and basically any other artistic endeavour you can think of. In year 8, I wanted to be a fashion designer when I grew up. My favourite activity was drawing cartoons, naturally loving The Simpsons, Futurama, and South Park. For a while there my comics​ were being printed in my high school newsletter! Throughout my teenage years my artistic flare started gravitating to makeup where I would offer to do my friends' hair and makeup whenever I got the chance!

In 2016, I enrolled in my Diploma after visiting M.A.C and Mecca for the first time (in Sydney of all places!). I instantly fell in love with the skills the artists had and wanted to do that too. I finished my Diploma in 2017 and started Beauty Artistry With Em.
​
My business is one of my biggest pride and joys! I have loved every single client I have had the pleasure of working with. It is so special being there on some of the most important days of your lives and being part of the magic. I hope to be there for many years to come!​​ My favourite thing is to make you look and feel gorgeous but most of all, comfortable. ​​
Other fun facts!
I have an amazing partner named Malcolm who is an absolute plant guru. We met whilst working together and Bunnings and have been inseparable since. He curates all of the beautiful plants in my home salon for when clients come on over (very handy as I am a terrible plant parent).

I have two adorable cats called Fiyero and Soraya. Fiyero is a Blue Lynx Ragdoll kitty who is a bit needy. Soraya is a Tonkinese cat with stunning green eyes. Both babies were previously in a foster home and I am so fortunate to have had them in my life since 2019. ​

For most of my business journey, I have either been studying full-time, working full-time, or both! I completed a Bachelor of Arts (Journalism) and Bachelor of Laws from the University of Southern Queensland in 2024 and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Queensland University of Technology the same year. I've always been passionate about human rights, animal rights and environmental law. Being compared to Elle Woods is the highest compliment one can receive!
